Rules and Guidelines for submitting your work for 2010
All submissions must include our SUBMISSION FORM. Please click on the link at the bottom
of the home page.
I. Eligibility
• Sunnyside Film
Festival accepts submissions of 25 minutes or less in length.
• Submissions can be of any genre or category.
• Submissions must be in English or have English subtitles and there must be a preview AND
screening copy available in English or with English subtitles, with the exception of music videos and films without dialogue.
II. Deadlines, Fees and Notification
DEADLINES:
• Sunnyside Shorts accepts submissions year-round,
but to ensure that your film will be considered for the 2010 festival, it must be postmarked on or before the applicable deadline
of August 1, 2010. All films received late will be considered for the 2010 festival.
FEES:
• The submission fee is $25 (students $15) and can be paid with a money order,
or a check made out to Sunnyside Film Festival, Inc. On the bottom of your check (memo line) include the name of your
film.
• If you are submitting a film from outside the U.S., please pay with a U.S. money order to avoid
the conversion costs.
• The submission fee need only be paid once per filmmaker. You may submit as many films
as you like without paying an additional fee.
III. Previews & Entry Form
• All submissions must include our SUBMISSION
FORM (see our downloadable PDF form at the bottom of this page).
• Feel free to send along any additional
press material, cast and crew bios or any other information about your film.
• Preview DVDs WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Please DO
NOT send a self-addressed stamped envelope. DO NOT send a master tape as a preview copy.
• If your film is
accepted, we require a DVD or Quicktime file from you.
• Please write or print your name, email, phone number,
the name of the film, and the film’s running time directly on the preview tape or DVD.

IV. Screening
Rights
• Should your work be selected to be part of the Sunnyside Film Festival, we reserve the right to screen
your film at any of our screenings. We also reserve the right to use your film for any promotion of the film festival.
V. Attending
the Festival
• Any filmmaker who submits a film shall receive free admission for 2 to any Sunnyside Film Festival
screening (some exceptions may apply).
- We would also appreciate
the filmmaker (and if possible, talent and crew) to attend for a possible Q&A.
